About the Job

Citi is currently hiring for the role of Legal Counsel 2 – Product (Officer). This intermediate-level position involves legal advisory, contract negotiation, and regulatory support for Citi’s global product offerings across Asia-Pacific (APAC) and other international regions. The role provides exposure to complex cross-border transactions and compliance frameworks, making it an excellent opportunity for early-career legal professionals.

Eligibility

Qualification:

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.

Experience:

0–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services or corporate law.
Strong understanding of banking and financial regulations.
Familiarity with international laws and regulatory frameworks.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and propose practical solutions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, global environment.
Strong organizational and relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance and advisory support to Citi’s business teams.
Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Review and analyze business proposals and documentation.
Support contract negotiation and drafting for global product offerings.
Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel across regions.
Identify and manage legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
Participate in strategic initiatives and internal legal projects.
