Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the MEA Internship 2026, candidates must fulfill the following:
Nationality:
- Must be a citizen of India.
Education:

- Final-year undergraduate students (where the internship is a mandatory part of the curriculum).
- Postgraduate students or Research Scholars.
Age Limit:
- Must not exceed 25 years as of December 31, 2026.
Academic Record:

Selection Process
The selection is highly competitive and conducted entirely through the official portal:
- Preliminary Screening: Based on academic merit (+2 and Graduation marks) and a Statement of Purpose (SOP).
- State Quotas: The process follows a ‘quota-cum-weightage’ system to ensure representation from different States and Union Territories.
