2nd SRMUH National Moot Court Competition 2026: SRM University Sonipat Announces Prizes Worth Rs.1.36 Lakhs – Register by 10 Feb

Sonipat, Haryana: The Faculty of Law at SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonipat, has officially announced the second edition of its flagship event—the 2nd SRMUH Moot Court Competition, 2026. Following the resounding success of its inaugural edition, this year’s competition is set to challenge the brightest legal minds on the emerging legalities of E-Sports and Online Gaming.

With a total cash prize pool of Rs.1,36,000, the competition serves as a premier platform for law students to refine their research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.

Theme: E-Sports and Online Gaming

The 2026 edition shifts its focus to the digital frontier, specifically centering on the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. Participants will engage with complex interdisciplinary issues involving Artificial Intelligence (AI), Competition Law, IPR, and Data Protection.

Eligibility & Team Composition

  • Eligibility: The competition is open to students currently enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year Integrated LL.B. programs from any BCI-recognized university or college.
  • Team Size: Each team must consist of 3 members (2 Speakers and 1 Researcher).
  • Institutional Cap: A maximum of two teams may represent a single institution.

Prize Pool & Rewards

SRM University has announced substantial rewards for the top performers:

  • Winning Team: Rs.51,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
  • Runners-Up: Rs.31,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Achievement
  • Second Runner-Up: Rs.21,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Achievement
  • Best Memorial: Rs. 11,000 + Trophy
  • Best Speaker: Rs.11,000 + Trophy
  • Best Researcher: Rs.11,000 + Trophy

Additional Perks:

  • All participants receive one-month access to SCC Online Web Edition (valued at Rs.3,100).
  • The winning team will receive three one-year complimentary subscriptions to SCC Online (worth Rs.96,000).
  • Certificates of Participation/Merit for all qualifying teams.

  • Final Registration Deadline: February 10, 2026
  • Last Date for Clarifications: February 13, 2026
  • Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): February 25, 2026
  • Hybrid Preliminary Rounds: March 6 – 7, 2026
  • Advanced Rounds (Offline at Sonipat): March 27 – 28, 2026
